Samuel Faraday Saidu, MPH, CPH, is a public health professional specializing in epidemiology, with expertise in health prevention, research publication, and healthcare systems. A member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), he has contributed as a Student Assembly Abstract Reviewer, Scholarship Application Reviewer, and New Attendees Mentor. Samuel has presented his work at national conferences, including the APHA annual conference, showcasing studies on maternal health financing across 163 countries and the social determinants of health influencing childhood malnutrition in Africa. He also brings practical community health experience from his role at the Bear River Health Department in Logan, Utah, where he supported COVID-19 response efforts and provided services for vulnerable populations. His research interests encompass infectious disease prevention, healthcare financing, and health equity in resource-limited settings.
Samuel holds an MPH in Epidemiology from North Dakota State University (2022-2024) and has completed two bachelor’s degrees: a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Njala University (2007-2012) and a second bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in the United States (2018-2021).
