Christopher Hagibu Kalokoh
Christopher Hagibu Kalokoh is a highly skilled statistician, consultant, and researcher with over seven years of progressive experience across diverse sectors, including civil society, education, agriculture, and economic development. He holds a strong proficiency in project management, business development, and research, with a proven track record of driving impactful initiatives, such as the BRAC-SL AIM project, which trained over 500 businesswomen and helped establish 30 microenterprises. His expertise has led him to work on significant projects like the $4.1 million World Bank and FAO grant for improving rural agricultural statistics in Sierra Leone, where he plays a critical role in designing and implementing agricultural surveys to improve data-driven decision-making.
Kalokoh’s career is marked by his contributions to business development and trade, particularly in agribusiness. His work as a Business Development Specialist for the International Trade Centre saw him conduct market research, train over 250 beneficiaries, and develop business plans for agribusinesses to enhance competitiveness in regional and international markets. Additionally, he has provided consultancy services to various organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he contributed to the promotion of Special Economic Zones in Sierra Leone.
With a strong academic background, Kalokoh holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Njala University and a Master of Official Statistics from the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre in Tanzania. He is also pursuing a Master’s in Corporate Governance and Policy Analysis at Ernest Bai Koroma University. Beyond his professional roles, Kalokoh has made notable contributions as a lecturer at the University of Makeni, where he supervised and mentored undergraduate students, imparting his knowledge to over 1,000 students.
Kalokoh’s leadership and community involvement have earned him several awards, including recognition as one of the 100 Most Influential Youths in Sierra Leone. He is also a fellow of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and the Tony Elumelu Foundation, where he continues to inspire and mentor young leaders across Africa. His extensive experience and dedication to capacity building and development make him a distinguished professional in his field.
